National Slam the Scam Day: Committee on the Judiciary was discharged from further consideration of S. Res. 627, designating March 5, 2026, as “National Slam the Scam Day” to raise awareness about pervasive scams and to prevent government imposter scams and other types of scams by promoting education about such scams, and the resolution was then agreed to.

Investing in All of America Act: Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship was discharged from further consideration of H.R. 2066, to amend the Small Business Investment Act of 1958 to exclude from the limit on leverage certain amounts invested in smaller enterprises located in rural or low-income areas and small businesses in critical technology areas, and the bill was then passed.
Measures Considered: Hostilities Within or Against the Islamic Republic of Iran: By 47 yeas to 52 nays (Vote No. 79), Senate rejected the motion to discharge the Committee on Foreign Relations from further consideration of S.J. Res. 123, to direct the removal of United States Armed Forces from hostilities within or against the Islamic Republic of Iran that have not been authorized by Congress, pursuant to section 1013 of the Department of State Authorization Act, Fiscal Years 1984 and 1985 (50 U.S.C. 1546a), and in accordance with section 601(b) of the International Security Assistance and Arms Export Control Act.
Foreign Military Sale to the Government of Israel: By 40 yeas to 59 nays (Vote No. 80), Senate rejected the motion to discharge the Committee on Foreign Relations from further consideration of S.J. Res. 32, providing for congressional disapproval of the proposed foreign military sale to the Government of Israel of certain defense articles and services, pursuant to section 36(b)(1) of the Arms Export Control Act.
Foreign Military Sale to the Government of Israel: By 36 yeas to 63 nays (Vote No. 81), Senate rejected the motion to discharge the Committee on Foreign Relations from further consideration of S.J. Res. 138, providing for congressional disapproval of the proposed foreign military sale to the Government of Israel of certain defense articles and services, pursuant to section 36(b)(1) of the Arms Export Control Act.
Withdrawal of Federal Lands: Senate began consideration of H.J. Res. 140, providing for congressional disapproval under chapter 8 of title 5, United States Code, of the rule submitted by the Bureau of Land Management relating to Public Land Order No. 7917 for Withdrawal of Federal Lands; Cook, Lake, and Saint Louis Counties, MN, after agreeing to the motion to proceed, and taking action on the following motion proposed thereto:
expedited procedures under the Congressional Review Act because Public Land Order No. 7917 is not a rule within the meaning of the Congressional Review Act, and the joint resolution does not meet all of the requirements of section 802 of the Congressional Review Act under the precedent set on May 21, 2025.
