FISA Extension: Senate passed H.R. 8322, to amend the FISA Amendments Act of 2008 to extend the authorities of title VII of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act of 1978 through April 30, 2026.
Davis Nomination—Agreement: A unanimous-consent agreement was reached providing that at approximately 5:30 p.m., on Monday, April 20, 2026, Senate execute the order of Wednesday, April 15, 2026, in relation to the nomination of Andrew B. Davis, of Texas, to be United States District Judge for the Western District of Texas, and Senate vote on confirmation of the nomination.
Adjournment: Senate convened at 10 a.m. and adjourned at 10:58 a.m., until 3 p.m. on Monday, April 20, 2026. (For Senate's program, see the remarks of the Majority Leader in today's Record on page S1831.)
