Mr. HARRIS of North Carolina. Mr. Speaker, every day across this country, law enforcement officers respond to calls that most of us hope we never have to face: violence, danger, tragedy, and moments where lives are on the line. While others run away from danger, they run toward it.
To the brave men and women in law enforcement who answer that call: We thank you.
may lie ahead. Yet, they still stand ready to serve, time and time again.
While most Americans are asleep, they stand watch. When chaos erupts, they are the first to respond. When fear takes over a community, law enforcement officers are the line between danger and safety.
