What we do know is that female veterans are one of the fastest growing populations that are served by the VA, and we need to do everything in our power to ensure they receive the care they have earned in a timely manner.
veterans, my RECOVER Act would strengthen partnerships between the VA and community-based mental health care providers.
I am working on legislation that would require the Department of War and VA to establish a uniform credentialing service for medical providers. Right now, clinicians who transfer between Department of War and VA facilities can face monthslong approval delays before they are able to treat patients again. This makes absolutely no sense at all. Why would we delay the clinicians from being able to move from a hospital in the DOW system to a VA facility? So our legislation would help create a streamlined process so that providers can get where they are needed at the fastest possible moment and deliver the care for our vets and our servicemembers.
