Mrs. HOUCHIN. Mr. Speaker, I rise today to recognize and honor Beth Bauer for her more than two decades of dedicated service to the State of Indiana and the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) of Indiana she leaves behind a legacy that has fundamentally strengthened the “Crossroads of America.”

This historic achievement secured billions of dollars in long-term investment, ensuring that our state's roads, bridges, and water systems remain safe and reliable for generations to come.
Beth's influence extends far beyond Indiana's borders. She has distinguished herself as a fervent supporter of national infrastructure policy, having served from 2021 to 2022 as the President of the National Association of Engineering Council Executives. On the national stage, she has been a vital voice in Washington, DC, mobilizing professionals to educate federal lawmakers on the critical fiscal challenges facing state infrastructure funding and ensuring Indiana is never overlooked.

For the 13th consecutive year, her chapter was the first in the Nation to reach its national goals, supporting bipartisan federal candidates who champion the engineering industry's agenda. This unwavering commitment ensures that critical issues—such as federal infrastructure funding, permitting reform, and workforce development—remain at the forefront of our work here in Congress.
Mr. Speaker, Beth Bauer is the embodiment of a dedicated servant- leader. Her collaborative approach, bipartisan relationship-building, and relentless professionalism have set a standard for advocacy nationwide.
