Mr. VICENTE GONZALEZ of Texas. Mr. Speaker, I rise today to recognize and honor Captain Michael D. Bishop, U.S. Navy Commanding Officer, for his distinguished military service.
Captain Bishop has served in the U.S. Navy since his enlistment in 1991 and has built an exceptional career marked by operational excellence, leadership, and dedication to the development of future servicemembers. His first role was with the “World Watchers” of VQ-1 at Naval Air Station Agana in Guam. He was later selected for the Enlisted Commissioning Program and graduated summa cum laude from Ohio State University, where he earned a bachelor's degree in political science.
