Mr. VAN EPPS. Mr. Speaker, I rise today to honor and pay tribute to a remarkable hero from Houston County, Tennessee, who answered the call of duty during a critical chapter in our Nation's history. As the years pass, the profound debt we owe to our Korean War veterans only grows.
Of the 6.8 million Americans who served during the Korean War era, fewer than 300,000 remain with us today. This generation, now largely in their nineties, represents a rapidly dwindling connection to a pivotal struggle for global freedom. It is our sacred obligation to ensure their stories are told and their sacrifices are never forgotten.

Mr. Charles Brown Potter is a distinguished United States Air Force veteran who dedicated his military service to our Nation during the Korean War era. Following his honorable service, Mr. Potter established roots in Tennessee, where his presence as a resident of Houston County has strengthened the local network of military families and contributed to the proud tradition of veteran leadership and historic preservation within the community.
