Mr. KEAN. Mr. Speaker, I rise today to honor the Roxbury Police Department in Roxbury Township, Morris County, New Jersey, as it marks its 100th anniversary. This is a remarkable milestone reflecting a century of unwavering service and dedication to the good people of Succasunna, Ledgewood, Landing, Kenvil, Port Morris, and Berkshire Valley within Roxbury.
leadership of its first Police Chief, Fred W. Plumstead. Chief Plumstead served with distinction until he was tragically killed in the line of duty less than three years after his appointment. His sacrifice remains a lasting part of the Department's history and serves as a powerful reminder of the courage and selflessness displayed by those who serve.
in its mission to protect the residents of Roxbury Township. Through generations, officers have consistently answered the call in times of need, providing both security and leadership.
