Fred lived a life of service. He served our country in the Air Force, the Navy, and the North Carolina National Guard, including two tours in Vietnam.
North Carolina. He built a business, raised a family, and continued to serve his community as a member of the Davidson County Commissioners beginning in 1994.
him for a reason. Fred had a servant's heart. He was a father, a grandfather, a friend to many, and a man of faith. Rachel and I are praying for his wife, Kay; the entire McClure family; and all those who knew and loved him. Davidson County lost a good man and a true public servant.
Mr. Speaker, may God bless Fred McClure and may he rest in peace.
