Mr. FITZPATRICK. Mr. Speaker, I rise today with a heavy heart to remember Bruce Burkart of Bucks County, Pennsylvania, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, veteran, and beloved member of our Bucks County community.
country and community. After graduating from North Wales High School, Bruce answered the call to serve our Nation, enlisting in the U.S. Army during the Korean war, serving from 1951 through 1954.
Mr. Speaker, upon his return, Bruce served the people of New Britain borough as its first building inspector, tax collector, judge of elections, and borough historian.
local World War I Memorial, and delivered meals through the Bucks County Meals on Wheels program.
Mr. Speaker, even after his beloved wife, Nancy, passed away, Bruce continued delivering meals 4 days a week in her honor.
