Mr. FITZPATRICK. Mr. Speaker, I rise today to honor an outstanding member of Pennsylvania's 1st Congressional District, Orville Lee Hutchins, and to recognize a life defined by service, sacrifice, family, and devotion to his community and country.
entered the United States military. He served for more than two decades, retiring in 1965 with the rank of E-7, Sergeant.

In 1949, he was transferred to France, where he met Genevieve, who would become his wife. Orville later deployed to Okinawa on several occasions with his guided missile battalion.
forces in Japan where he was stationed from 1945 to 1946. While there, Mr. Hutchins came upon an orphanage which was being continuously looted by locals. He immediately provided armed security, food, and blankets for the children. This was the beginning of the 27th Regiment's now- continuous support of the Holy Family Orphanage to this day.
years. Together, they raised their two sons, Cliff and Stephen Hutchins. Stephen proudly served for 21 years in the United States Air Force, retiring as a colonel. For the past 37 years, Orville has called Bucks County home and currently resides in Langhorne, Pennsylvania.
