HONORING THE LIFE AND SEVICE OF STATE PATROL TROOPER BRADLEY ALLAN
RITGER
HON. DERRICK VAN ORDEN
of wisconsin
in the house of representatives
Thursday, October 15, 2026
Mr. VAN ORDEN. Mr. Speaker, I rise today to honor the life and service of State Patrol Trooper Bradley Allan Ritger.
Bradley was born January 2, 1997, in Menomonie, Wisconsin. He enjoyed many parts of life growing up in Western Wisconsin. Bradley loved swimming, hunting, fishing, LEGO, traveling up north, and enjoying the company of his brothers and cousins. Bradley's analytical mind led him to seek out challenge in the world of grand strategy while also displaying appreciation for the arts in classic literature.
Bradley attended Wildlands High School. He is well remembered by his peers for his intelligence and humor. Bradley would lead an active life, competing and representing his school in both football and wrestling. Bradley would graduate high school and go on to attend Chippewa Valley Technical College. From there, he would begin his law enforcement training.
2022, as a member of the 67th Recruit Class. Serving the people of Dunn County, he became a certified general law enforcement instructor, mobile field force team member and squad leader, and salvage vehicle instructor.
Bradley was a man of strong faith, conviction, and character. Those closest to him knew him as thoughtful, quick-witted, and deeply loyal to the people he loved. As the eldest of seven brothers, he naturally took on the role of a leader and protector, always looking out for those around him.
Bradley is survived by his wife, Caitlyn; his daughters, Candace and Alice; his parents, Jeffrey Ritger (Katelyn) and Sarah Ritger (Dickinsen); and his six brothers, Ethan (Mackenzie), Aiden (Mara), Jeffrey, II, Noah, Nolan, and Joseph; along with his niece, Iris, and nephews, Zachariah and Cedric.
Wisconsin, but for the husband, father, son, brother, friend, and neighbor he was to so many. His commitment to serving others, devotion to his family, and steadfast values leave behind a legacy worthy of recognition.
Mr. Speaker, I ask that Bradley Allan Ritger and his contributions to my state and the Nation be in the Record for posterity.
