Mrs. SYKES. Mr. Speaker, I rise today to recognize the Dragon Dream Team, Ohio's first and only breast cancer survivor dragon boat team, as Ohio's 13th Congressional District's Champion of the Week.
to show that an active, fulfilling life is possible after a breast cancer diagnosis. Through teamwork, perseverance, and a shared commitment to supporting one another, these athletes have built a community that extends far beyond the water.
stage at the 2026 International Breast Cancer Paddlers' Commission Participatory Dragon Boat Festival in France. Competing alongside approximately 4,500 breast cancer survivor paddlers from 25 countries, the team finished second overall in the world in the 1,000-meter race, and first place among United States teams.
