On August 3, 2026 the House Committee on Ethics released a report finding substantial reason to believe Representative Chuck Edwards violated House rules regarding sexual harassment and hostile workplaces. Representative Edwards reviewed a draft, disagrees with the findings, but waived certain procedural steps so the Committee could recommend a House-level sanction. The Committee recommended the House adopt the report and censure Representative Edwards and will bring a privileged resolution to the full House for a vote.
