Legislation Details

Amends the Flood Control Act of 1946 regarding emergency streambank and shoreline protection.
Increases the funding cap for flood control or erosion control from $25 million to $45.5 million per year.
Expands the scope of protection works to include highways, roadways, bridge approaches, lighthouses, public works, recreational assets, public lands, parks, churches, hospitals, schools, and other nonprofit public services.
Aims to prevent damage to various infrastructure and public services from flooding and erosion.
