Notes the Gamecocks’ undefeated season, making them one of 10 NCAA women’s basketball teams to achieve this.
Marks the second National Championship win for the Gamecocks in three years.
Mentions the championship game received the highest television ratings in the history of college women’s basketball and for any college basketball game in the 2023-2024 season.
Recognizes Dawn Staley, the head coach of the Gamecocks, as the 2024 Werner Ladder Naismith Coach of the Year.
Commends the Gamecocks for their dedication, teamwork, sportsmanship, and for achieving a record of 38 wins and 0 losses during the season.
