Housing Options for Older Adults Act of 2024

Requires the Comptroller General of the United States to conduct a study on housing programs and services for older individuals under the Older Americans Act of 1965.
The study must be completed and a report submitted to Congress within two years of the enactment of the Act.
The report will include:
- An analysis of the Interagency Coordinating Committee on Healthy Aging and Age-Friendly Communities, focusing on metrics for success, interagency coordination, and the availability of affordable housing.
- An evaluation of overlaps and gaps in housing programs and services aimed at helping older individuals access affordable and accessible housing.
- An assessment of the availability of affordable housing for older individuals, considering income levels and demographic trends.
- Recommendations for improving the supply, accessibility, and affordability of housing for older individuals, as well as enhancing coordination of services under the Older Americans Act and related federal programs.
