Amends Subchapter II of chapter 5 of title 40, United States Code, to enhance reporting and public availability of excess personal property data.
Requires the Administrator of General Services to compile and publish an annual report on excess personal property, including a summary of findings and recommendations.
Mandates each executive agency to submit and publicly share their internal guidance on using excess personal property, including procedures for considering and obtaining such property.
Directs the Administrator of General Services to publish a report summarizing findings from the interagency working group on acquiring personal property, focusing on improving the use of excess personal property.
Calls for a report from the Comptroller General of the United States evaluating the acquisition of personal property from entities based in or primarily doing business in the People’s Republic of China.
Specifies a sunset clause that will repeal certain reporting and guidance requirements five years after the enactment of the Act.
States that no additional funds are authorized to be appropriated to carry out the Act or its amendments.
