Aims to raise awareness about mental health in the agricultural industry and reduce the stigma associated with mental illness.
Recognizes the critical role of agricultural producers and workers in providing high-quality products globally.
Seeks to increase awareness of the unique challenges faced by those in agriculture, including weather unpredictability, labor intensity and shortages, farm succession issues, and fluctuating commodity and market prices.
Highlights the resources available through the Farm and Ranch Stress Assistance Network (FRSAN) of the Department of Agriculture for connecting agricultural producers and workers to stress assistance programs.
Encourages the observation of Mental Health Awareness in Agriculture Day to promote mental well-being and awareness among current and future agricultural producers and workers.
