Legislation Details

Requires the Secretary of the Army to convey or lease certain land acquired for the Table Rock Lake project to adjacent property owners upon request.
Owners can either receive full ownership or enter into a lease agreement for the covered land.
The payment for conveyance or lease cannot exceed 150% of the fair market value of the land.
The Secretary cannot require the removal of existing structures on the land as a condition for conveyance or lease.
Lease agreements must allow for the installation of new structures and cannot require the removal of existing structures prior to the lease date.
Funds generated from lease agreements are designated for infrastructure related to recreational activities at the Lake and its maintenance.
Owners receiving conveyed land must hold the United States harmless from liability for activities conducted after the conveyance date, while the U.S. retains liability for prior activities.
The U.S. is not liable for damage to structures installed on leased land.
Individuals with a lease or easement for a dock on the Lake are permitted to make alterations to improve accessibility for individuals with disabilities.
