Legislation Details

Directs the Secretary of Homeland Security to create a curriculum for training law enforcement agencies at various levels (State, local, Tribal, territorial, and campus) on organized retail crime.
Amends the Homeland Security Act of 2002 to include provisions for guidance, outreach, training, and educational materials regarding organized retail crime.
Requires the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers or other accredited academies to provide the developed trainings.
Mandates research and development of technologies and techniques to enhance security and situational awareness related to organized retail crime.
Establishes a deadline of one year for the development of training materials and completion of research and development activities.
