This bill changes how the Pentagon handles cyber policy. It makes the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Cyber Policy a top adviser to the Secretary of Defense. This person must report directly to the Secretary and can share their views on cyber matters straight to the top without needing anyone else’s sign-off .
