Requires clinicians to check for cognitive problems during Medicare annual wellness visits and the Medicare initial preventive physical exam using one of the screening tools identified by the National Institute on Aging, and to record which tool was used and the screening results in the patient’s medical record. The rule applies to visits and exams provided on or after January 1, 2026.
