Read twice and referred to the Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs.
This bill requires the U.S. Treasury Secretary (or a designee) to testify each year before key congressional committees about how the Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFI) Fund operated in the previous fiscal year, when the committee chairs ask them to appear. The goal is to increase transparency and accountability for how the Fund is run and how it serves communities.
In plain terms, Congress would get a regular, public update on the CDFI Fund’s work—how money was used and what results were achieved—so lawmakers and the public can better see what’s working and what needs fixing.
