Creates a U.S.-led Taiwan Undersea Cable Resilience Initiative to protect undersea communications lines near Taiwan, require enhanced monitoring and rapid repair protocols, promote international cooperation and diplomacy, and authorize sanctions against People’s Republic of China (PRC) actors found responsible for sabotage. The law also requires the President to report to Congress every 180 days on incidents and responses, and sets timelines for establishing the initiative and starting reports.
