Requires schools to tell parents, before the first Individualized Education Program (IEP) meeting each school year, that they can invite people with knowledge or special expertise about their child—such as related services staff—to join the IEP team.
It also cleans up and renumbers parts of existing law without changing other IEP team rules or adding funding. The goal is to improve parent awareness and participation in IEP planning with minimal new administrative burden on schools.
Referred to the House Committee on Education and Workforce.
