This bill keeps a mental health support program for farmers and ranchers going through 2030. It continues grants that help states, tribes, and nonprofits run stress assistance services like counseling, helplines, and other resources for people working in farming and agriculture. The bill also makes clear that money for farm helplines and websites can be used for crisis lines too.
Grant recipients can build referral partnerships with local providers so farmers can get a wider range of care. These partners can include Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics, health centers, rural health clinics, federally qualified health centers, and critical access hospitals.
