Requires the Under Secretary of Commerce for Oceans and Atmosphere to run a project to improve forecasts for coastal marine fog. The project must improve observations, modeling, advisories, risk communication, and decision support to make navigation safer and reduce economic harm, and must include engagement with public/private stakeholders and Indian tribes.
The Under Secretary must deliver a detailed project plan within one year of enactment. The law focuses on planning and coordination; it does not specify funding levels or detailed implementation timelines beyond the one-year planning deadline.
