This bill cancels a 2024 federal rule about “Short-Term, Limited-Duration Insurance and Independent, Noncoordinated Excepted Benefits Coverage.” If this becomes law, that rule would no longer apply anywhere. The text says the rule “shall have no force or effect,” referring to the final interagency rule published on April 3, 2024 (89 Fed. Reg. 23338) .
