This proposal would make every VA medical center provide a clean, private lactation room for nursing parents. The room cannot be a bathroom and must be easy to find. This helps veteran moms have a safe, hygienic place to breastfeed or pump during visits to VA facilities. It specifically directs the Department of Veterans Affairs to have a lactation space in each of its medical centers.
