Medical Supply Sanctions Act of 2025

This bill would place a blanket ban on sending medicines and prosthetic devices from the United States to Russia. In plain terms, U.S. exporters could not ship prescription drugs, over‑the‑counter medicines, or artificial limbs and similar devices to the Russian Federation.

The ban would stay in place until the U.S. Secretary of State certifies that Russia has stopped its military actions in Ukraine and has pulled its troops out of the country.

• Who is affected: U.S. drugmakers, medical suppliers, hospitals and clinics that export, and people in Russia who receive these products.
• What changes: Exports of all drugs and prosthetics to Russia would be stopped by law.
• When it ends: The ban lifts only after an official certification that Russia ended its military operations in Ukraine and removed its forces.
