This bill requires the U.S. Postal Service to bring a mobile unit to an area when the local post office can’t provide retail services for a while, such as during a temporary closure. The mobile unit could be a vehicle or other mobile facility that offers retail postal services until the regular office is back up and running .
In short, it aims to keep basic postal services available in your community, even when the building is closed for a time.
