Creates and funds (up to $3,696,000 in FY2027) a VA community-based outpatient clinic in Saipan, CNMI, allowing construction or lease and permitting CNMI-appropriate building standards.
Authorizes the Department of Veterans Affairs to build or otherwise establish a community-based outpatient clinic in Saipan, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, and provides up to $3,696,000 in fiscal year 2027 for the project. It permits construction, leasing, renovation, or retrofit activities and allows the VA to adopt alternative building or resiliency standards suited to local conditions if safety and suitability for outpatient care are maintained. The measure directs the VA to consider logistical and cost challenges unique to the CNMI — including lack of a permanent VA presence, transport of materials over ocean, limited local contractors and housing, and travel burdens on veterans — and deposits the authorized amount into the VA Construction, Minor Projects account for FY2027.
