Referred to the House Committee on the Judiciary.
This measure would change the Constitution to set term limits for Congress. A person could serve up to six two‑year terms in the House and up to two six‑year terms in the Senate. It also says the limits do not apply to anyone who served in either chamber before the 118th Congress. It would only take effect if three‑fourths of state legislatures approve it within seven years of being sent to the states .
