Creates a new CCP Initiative inside the Department of Justice’s National Security Division to identify and respond to threats from the Chinese Communist Party, such as spying, trade-secret theft, and harmful investments. The Attorney General must keep the Initiative administratively separate, provide it with its own resources, coordinate with other DOJ components and federal agencies, and send an annual report to specified congressional committees. The Initiative expires after six years and the Act includes a severability clause.
