Introduced on January 22, 2025 by Diana Harshbarger
This measure would cancel an Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) rule about the chemical trichloroethylene (TCE). The EPA rule would have banned making, importing, processing, and selling TCE for all uses (including consumer uses), and also banned using it in industry and business. By disapproving the rule, this measure would stop those bans from taking effect, so the EPA’s TCE rule would not go forward if this becomes law . It specifically targets the EPA’s TCE regulation under the Toxic Substances Control Act .
