Introduced on February 12, 2025 by Andrew S. Clyde
Referred to the House Committee on Energy and Commerce.
This measure would overturn an Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) rule about two toxic, long-lasting chemicals: decabromodiphenyl ether (DecaBDE) and phenol, isopropylated phosphate (3:1) (PIP 3:1). The EPA rule, published on November 19, 2024, updated regulations to fix implementation issues and reduce exposure to these chemicals, including requiring protective gear during certain work with DecaBDE. By canceling that rule, those updates and protections would not go into effect.
