Introduced on February 12, 2025 by Andrew S. Clyde
Referred to the Committee on Ways and Means, and in addition to the Committee on Energy and Commerce, for a period to be subsequently determined by the Speaker, in each case for consideration of such provisions as fall within the jurisdiction of the committee concerned.
This measure would overturn a federal Medicare rule for 2025. That rule set payment rates for home health care and certain medical items, like disposable wound therapy devices and intravenous immune globulin (IVIG). It also added new reporting and participation rules for home health providers and long-term care facilities, including collecting more data on acute respiratory illnesses. By canceling the rule, those 2025 payment updates and reporting changes would not take effect. The original rule was issued on November 7, 2024 .
