Disapproves and nullifies a recently published National Park Service rule about motor vehicle use at Glen Canyon National Recreation Area (90 Fed. Reg. 2621, Jan 13, 2025). The resolution states that the agency rule "will have no force or effect," which, if enacted, leaves prior vehicle rules or practices in place and prevents the new regulation from being implemented.
The measure does not appropriate funds or create new programs; it simply rescinds the legal effect of the specified agency regulation. The main impacts would be on visitors who drive or launch vehicles in the recreation area, park operations, local recreation businesses, and enforcement of vehicle-related management policies at Glen Canyon.
Read twice and referred to the Committee on Energy and Natural Resources.
