Read twice and referred to the Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions.
This bill would ban cost-sharing for care related to pregnancy and birth. That means no copays, coinsurance, or deductibles for prenatal visits, childbirth, newborn care, care around delivery, and postpartum care, as described in the bill’s section on “No cost-sharing” for these services .
The goal is to lower out-of-pocket costs for families during pregnancy and after birth, so people can get needed checkups and treatment without worrying about extra fees .
