Recognizes and supports the creation of a Guam War Survivors Remembrance Day to honor CHamoru survivors who endured nearly three years of Imperial Japanese occupation during World War II, and asks the people of the United States to observe the day with ceremonies and activities that honor the dead, support living survivors, and preserve their stories. The resolution’s preamble recounts Guam’s 1941 invasion, the hardships of occupation, and prior recognition and reparations, and it notes June 28, 2025 as the 10th anniversary of an existing Guam War Survivors Remembrance Day observance.
