This measure sets September 9, 2025 as “National World War II Italian Campaign Remembrance Day.” It honors the service and sacrifices of American and Allied soldiers who helped free Italy from German occupation during World War II .
It is a symbolic recognition day. It does not describe new programs or funding. Its main purpose is to remember and show respect for those who served in that campaign .
