Requires USDA to share AFIDA report details with CFIUS via MOUs and to update the FSA AFIDA handbook to incorporate GAO recommendations, with set timelines.
Requires the Agriculture Secretary to formalize routine information-sharing with the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) about reports filed under the Agricultural Foreign Investment Disclosure Act (AFIDA). It also directs the Farm Service Agency (FSA) to update its AFIDA handbook within two years to incorporate GAO recommendations and to refresh that handbook at least every 10 years thereafter.
Official title: To require the Secretary of Agriculture to enter into a memoranda of understanding with CFIUS with respect to reports under AFIDA and to update the AFIDA handbook.
