Passed/agreed to in House: On motion to suspend the rules and pass the bill Agreed to by voice vote.
Received in the Senate and Read twice and referred to the Committee on Veterans' Affairs.
This bill aims to make VA education benefits easier to use and more transparent for students. It updates the approval process for schools and programs so veterans and other VA students get clearer information before they enroll. If a school can’t provide every detail on the required personalized form, it must clearly say what might be missing or inaccurate and give its best estimate for those details, instead of leaving students in the dark . It also tells the VA to run a central website with up-to-date information about training for school certifying officials, so schools can better help students use their benefits.
