It would fund energy-efficiency improvements, building electrification, clean-energy infrastructure, water-quality upgrades, and repairs to deteriorating public housing while creating workforce-development and employment opportunities. It also includes protections for residents displaced during renovations, promotes hiring public-housing residents and resident-owned businesses, and seeks to repeal the Faircloth Amendment, which currently limits HUD-funded construction of additional public housing units.
