6 years later, the lasting impacts from the pandemic can still be felt by students. I introduced the Educational Equity Challenge Grant Act to address the chronic absenteeism, lower reading scores, and increased mental health challenges facing students across CT and the country.
Peak bloom for this springtime tradition and symbol of friendship. The beauty of the cherry blossoms at the U.S. Capitol cannot be contained. Since 1912, we have celebrated these cherry trees blooming in solidarity. #HappySpring 🌸🌷

What a great morning at the YMCA Meriden Head Start program. This organization will be expanding available child care slots with a new federal grant from HHS. Effective, comprehensive early childhood education is a crucial investment in our economy and should be available to all
