Always enjoy meeting the next generation of leaders from AZ-06! Great to welcome the bright students and dedicated staff members from St. Michael’s School in Tucson during their visit to the Capitol and answer their thoughtful questions about Congress.

The consequences of the @DHSgov shutdown are real and felt nationwide, including in AZ. It should not take a tragedy like the WHCD to wake up Senate Democrats like @SenMarkKelly and @SenRubenGallego, who voted 15 times in the past 7 months to withhold pay from Secret Service

It’s unacceptable that efforts to fully fund DHS are being blocked over political games tied to less than 10% of its funding. After the tragic incident at the WHCD, this should be a wake-up call to every Senator: fully fund @DHSgov.

As the only appropriator for Arizona in either the House or Senate, I’m making sure Arizona’s veterans are taken care of and get benefits from Washington they have earned. Proud to have advanced a bill out of committee that fully funds veterans’ health care and benefits,
