This Arab American Heritage Month, I wanted to share my gratitude for the rich cultures, histories, and contributions of mid-Michigan’s Arab American community. Last month, those were on full display at a wonderful iftar I joined in Saginaw County.

LIHEAP helps thousands of low-income families afford to heat & cool their homes. In January, I introduced a bill to reverse cuts to LIHEAP and put more money in your pocket. Now (when energy prices are skyrocketing), the White House wants to end LIHEAP entirely. No way.
Health insurance costs keep going up, and more people are deciding they’re better off going uninsured. We need to get back on track, starting with reversing cuts to Medicaid and bringing back tax credits to help working people afford their premiums.
