This week I questioned Dr. Schwartz, Trump’s nominee to lead the CDC, and I’m concerned. Not because she’s not qualified— she is. But because this administration has shown a pattern of undermining the independence of qualified leaders and our public health demands better.

The Attorney General is supposed to be a lawyer for the American people, not the President. And when it comes to holding this President accountable to the law, even acting AG Blanche will tell you: he's Trump's lawyer.

This is unacceptable. We must stop this chaos. This week, ICE shot and killed two more people in the streets — people who weren't even subjects of investigation — and Republicans want to give them MORE money? Enough. I won't support it.

Families shouldn’t have to skip meals just to cover their healthcare costs, but because of President Trump’s cuts and skyrocketing premiums, that's a reality for far too many Americans.

President Trump said the war was over, but a month later the fighting continues and costs keep rising. This is a war that never should have started, and it's time for this administration to listen to the American people and end it.
