Trump always finds the money for endless war, and his fascist ICE army, but never for healthcare in our communities. Since Republicans passed his Big Ugly Bill, over 8 million people have lost healthcare coverage. It's a disgrace. Our communities deserve to come first.

Working people keep our country running. No one should have to work more than one job to survive in the richest country in the world. Every single worker in our country deserves dignity and a livable wage. It is time for Congress to raise the minimum wage to $25/hr.

Growing up in Southwest Detroit in a multi-ethnic community centered on love and family taught me that our diversity is our strength. This Immigrant Heritage Month we uplift the stories of so many families, like mine, whose contributions have helped shape our country.

I joined the National Fair Housing Alliance to affirm a truth we all hold; access to safe, affordable housing is a human right. I stand with the advocates that are continuing to push for housing for all. Trump must sign the Housing Our Communities Act into law now.
